Conductor: Joshua Habermann, Artistic Director, SFDC
Collaborative Pianist: Nathan Salazar

First produced by the Desert Chorale in 2016, Santa Fe Sings! draws participants ranging in age from eighth graders to octogenarians from across Northern New Mexico, singing together under the direction of Joshua Habermann. In addition to individual singers, area choruses represented included: Coro de Cámara, the New Mexico Peace Choir, the Sangre de Cristo Chorale, Santa Fe Music Works, Santa Fe Men’s Camerata, the Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra & Chorus, and the Santa Fe Women’s Ensemble. This year’s chorus will again be open to singers of all backgrounds who will come together to sing selections spanning the full choral canon.

Santa Fe Sings! will take place on Saturday, May 12th, 2018 from 8:30am to 1:15pm at The United Church of Santa Fe (1804 Arroyo Chamiso, Santa Fe, NM 87505). The goal of the day is to cultivate and encourage a joy for singing, and also nurture singers’ confidence and choral leadership skills to benefit ensembles in our community. This year’s event will conclude with a free showcase for friends and family (register for the showcase here).

The ticket fee covers the cost of your music, which will be sent via email for advanced preparation. You may either pick up your hard copies prior to the sing at 311 E Palace Ave, Santa Fe, NM 87501, or you may pick them up at the Registration table the day of the sing. Please indicate which option you would like to utilize when registering online.

Snacks and beverages will be provided by the SFDC through the workshop. Please bring your own snacks if you feel you may need more than what is provided (note: there will be no lunch break this year).

Capacity is limited, and registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration will close May 1, 2018– so don’t delay!
