A member of the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum’s curatorial staff will introduce the collection’s newest acquisition: Georgia O’Keeffe’s Ritz Tower, 1928. During Georgia O’Keeffe’s New York period (1918 - 1928), the period when the artist “found inspiration and popular success in urban skylines... She visualized the skyscrapers as an essentially American symbol of modernity.” The Roaring ‘20s program is a cross-sector examination of the genius at work in music, fine art, and sciences in the 1920s.
This Insights & Sounds session explores artistic expression in the period through a study of Georgia O’Keeffe’s paintings coupled with musical selections from the Chorale’s Roaring ‘20s concert program.
Capacity is limited; reservations required: $25 per person
